i've had a pool my whole life and everytime l get out l break out in hives. l do not know what it is, some of my family thinks that it is from stress because l have a lot of pressure on me because l have summer school for three more weeks. they fade away but they come back very bad when l get out of the pool. benadryl does not help at all. whats wrong?

you may be allergic to the chemicals in the water
do you walk in the grass barefooted? my daughter is allergic to grass
try claritin or alavert

you could just be allergic to the chemicals in your pool like the clhoryne or one of theother chemicals so ask your docter

You could be suffering a skin reaction to pollen in the pool water. l used to get hives terrible after I'd swim in our pond, and also in outdoor pools, because of all the pollen that is on and in the water. After you get out of the pool rinse off as soon as you can with clean water to see if that helps with the hives. You can also put hydrocotizone on the hives to reduce them.
