l have this horrible post nasal drip it started first like a bad cold and then one night boom mucus that doesent go.i have this deviated septum and rhinitis.thats what my doctor said but l am too young to have surgery.i have constant mucus in my throat and nausea.i use nasal sprayerdosteine and something for my neck. so what do you think that l have?sinusitis allergy?

It probably is because of the mold in ur house. Mold spores float in the air, & most people r irritated by them. The symptoms u describe r exactly what happens when u have mold.

If u can stand it, until u can move out of ur house, wear a dust mask on ur face at night when u sleep. Also, try some of the over-the-counter allergy medications, like Zyrtec, Claritin, or Allevert. Take a Benedryl at night before u go to bed. This is the only way u will be able to manage until u can live somewhere else.

The nasal spray could be irritating the inside of ur nostrils, way up into ur sinuses. It is not meant to be used for 3 months straight.

It sounds like it could be an allergy, but u already said u have rhinitis so u know that.

You can try sinus rinsing, it sounds nutty but it works. l tend to get terrible post nasal drip, complete with the nausea & huge amounts of dried mucus to hack up. Now that I've been doing to sinus flushing my post nasal drip has nearly stopped.

There r different types of sinus kits, one looks like a teapot & the others r squeeze bottles. l think the bottles r the way to go & u use them to flush saline solution up ur nose & rinse out the sinus cavities, removing allergens, dust, & excess mucus.all of which cause post nasal drip.

The kits r around $10 at a pharmacy & worth a shot at least.

You should visit an Asthma/allergy doctor.cause having that for so long could be dangerous!

you should go to the doctor and in the meantime take an antihistimine.
