Does anyone know?l have a 6 mth old daughter and she comes up in a very florid and itchy rash and we're trying to eliminate things.

Normally a reaction can occur in min. to hours. The experts say to introduce new foods & other things to infants one week apart because the first contact may not cause a reaction but the next one might. Take me l could eat strawberries until l was around 17 years old & now l deathly allergic to them. But if u r worried about ur child try only one new thing a week. Your doctor can also do allergy testing on her. She is young & may not be able to metabolize certain foods yet. l would make a list of things she has ingested & consult with my doctor.

It could take as little as a few minutes for skin contact, and from 15 minutes to a couple of hours for eating something. She is only 6 months old, she should not have all that many things in her diet to eliminate. She is not eating solid food yet, is she?
