l had a really bad sunburnalmost 3 weeks ago and for the last2 weeks l have been itching my arms like crazy, l was put on a topical steroid, now l have tiny bumps that look like bug bites and only itch a few times throughout the day.What is this?

what is in excess is not good . but do not be afraid - if you care your body can heal himself - may be your body gets rid of dead cells and creates new cells - a normal regeneration process.

My answer may not be helpful enough, but l have this problem where every time l get a lot of exposure to sunlight l break out into hives. l went tanning 5 days ago & l am still itching like crazy. If this happens to u every year, then l think it is the same thing except l do not burn easily.

IF so, then all l know is that it is hereditary, because my mom has had this problem her whole life as well; & it is an allergic reaction to sunlight.

If not, then what the other person said sounds about right. When u burn, ur skin peels, & the itchyness is a way of dead skin cells sloffing off to reveal newer ones. CORTISONE always worked for me, or if u have time for a nap - take some antihistimines.
