Is there a way to find out if you have a gluten allergy without a blood test

There is.
Stop eating anything made with gluten and see how you feel. That means you will have to read a lot of labels and avoid a lot of breads and pastas.
Good luck!

It is usually necessary because there are so many symptoms that can occur with this type of allergy that are non-specific. Some people have a reaction to gluten that manifests as a skin rash on the torso and buttocks, but the blood test is the only definitive way to determine if your body is producing antibodies such as anti-gliadin, tissue transglutamase, anti-endomysium.

Hi
The following will give u some indication of whether u have a wheat & gluten allergy & indeed often the blood tests r not conclusive. What l would strongly recommend before u start to eliminate too many foods from ur diet is that u talk to ur Doctor about what u r thinking of doing.
Symptoms of wheat intolerance may include stomach pain, nausea, cramps, bloating, gas, vomiting, heartburn, diarrhea, headaches, irritability, & an unexplained runny nose or itchy eyes.
Symptoms of gluten allergy include upper repository tract problems, fatigue & chronic fatigue syndrome, mouth ulcers, anemia, osteoporosis, weight loss, short stature in children, diarrhea, constipation, bloating & other digestive tract problems, depression, Autism & attention problems, skin problems, & irritability.
Symptoms of gluten intolerance include weight loss or weight gain, nutritional deficiencies, bloating, pain, gas, constipation, diarrhea, aching joints, depression, eczema, headaches, fatigue, irritability & behavioral changes, cramps, tingling & numbness, & slow infant & child growth.
These can also be symptoms of others illnesses & u should always consult a trained medical practioner before making any decisions.
Hope it helps
Take care
Paul
