l am pretty sure that l am allergic to shrimp. l have always avoided eating shrimp because l was convinced that it would taste gross, but one day l ate some of my mom is fried rice (not knowing that it was shrimp fried rice) and my mouth and throat started feeling tingly and like it was closing up, and l got really sick to my stomach, and ended up puking up the fried rice. Keep in mind, l only had a few of the little pieces of shrimp that were in the fried rice, so had l eaten more, who knows how bad the reaction would have been. Anyways, does being allergic to shrimp mean being allergic to shellfish, or other similar foods? l know l can eat fish sticks, tilapia, salmon, and catfish without a bad reaction, but I've never had any other type of seafood. l have also eaten clam chowder and nothing bad happened. I am just kind of nervous about going near seafood. What do you think?Also, do l need to carry one of those epipens?l think a doctor has to prescribe you one, but l havent gone to the doctor about allergies, should I?

Well, l am starting to have allergic reactions to shrimp, but l am fine when l eat other shell fish. But like the person above stated, you can go to an allergy doctor. The one l went to cost about $340. l forgot how much the first visit cost, that is when they ran the tests on me to see what l was allergic to. Turns out l am allergic to 60 of the most common things. l had to get on two steriod shots, that l would have to take for the rest of my life.
