Hi there.We got a kitty about 4 months ago and the past few days l have been having allergy attacks were l am nonstop sneezing, runny itchy nose, my eyes get itchy and puffy and my throat becomes itchy and feels like it wants to shut. My nose also becomes clogged.It subsides when we leave the house and comes back when we get home.l am allergic to guinea pigs.l grew up with cats and do not have any problems with allergies so this is very strange to me.l had to take 2 ben last night to help.

Yep, allergies can literally just ''appear''. Same happened with me and my dog l had for SEVEN years! One day l just could not be in the same room with him without sneezing, itching the skin around the eyes, blowing my nose, etc.

You can go to your doctor and get tablets to prevent the symptoms or ''attack'' the symptoms when they appear.

It also talks about one thing that may relate to Ur specific situation, it talks about people that move to a different country & develop allergies to something there, a plant, an animal, etc etc, BUT, in that situation, allot of times the persons symptoms won’t show for a few months.
something l didn’t see in the article was the specifics of allergies people can have to animals, allot of times its the dandruff from the cat that will effect a person negatively, if u talk to a good vet or research on the web, u may be able to find ways to help the situation.
there r for instance sprays that keep a cat from wanting to jump onto furniture u spray the substance on, completely harmless to the animal, but if u sit in a chair or on a certain couch allot then u may want to use that spray or something like it so there’s the least amount of irritants around or on you.
also, before u go out u may want to get a ''roller'' which is essentially a rolling piece covered in layers of tape like substance that is like a lint roller, if u roll this on ur clothes right before u leave, then there’s less of a chance for any allergens to come with u to the store or work or etc etc.
There r also alot of medications ur regular doctor can help u find & get that could lessen the effects of ur allergy
Small items like those can make it so u can have ur cat & not sneeze all the time too :-)
