l am 23 and had eczema my entire live. l go through stages of when it is not so bad and then when it is horrible. In the past few years l started having exercise induced asthma with only one really bad attack. l have decided l need to find out what is causing this. l have cut out all dairy for the last month and as my eczema seems to be a bit better the asthma has become substantially worse. l have been reading about wheat allergies and decided that maybe this is the problem. Can anyone give me any information from personal experience? l have read several articles but would really like to hear first hand. Thanks.

l have had bouts of psoraisis & eczema most of my life & then in my 40s developed hives & asthma. l went 10 years with those being controlled with a combination of steroids, advair or serevent, claritin & some more meds. However, l went on an Atkins diet to lose weight & during the first month noticed my asthma went away, hives quit happening, & my skin cleared up. Went back & tried adding in all the different things that l had stopped eating & it was readily apparent that anything containing gluten (wheat, rye, barley & some others) was causing my problems. l have been gluten free, symptom free for 6 years.
Before u go gluten free, get tested for celiac disease or dermititis herpetiformis & then try a gluten free diet anyway since gluten/wheat allergies wo not show up in that testing along with just gluten sensitivity that has not developed into celiac disease.
An easy gluten free diet to start with is fresh fruit & vegetables & non processed meat & eggs. Add in rice & potatoes for starch & that will get u going while u learn to read menus & ingredient lists.
